Lieutenant Colonel Jon Siepmann is a career infantry officer and 18 year veteran of the US Armed Forces. His service includes tours in Afghanistan and Kuwait as well as a variety of other missions both domestically and overseas. He has a breadth of experience in emergency operations, anti-terrorism, and public affairs and is a graduate of a number of military schools including the Army’s Command and General Staff College, Combined Arms Staff Services School and Defense Information School. He is currently assigned as the Operations Officer for the 40th Infantry Brigade Combat Team.
Lieutenant Colonel Siepmann has served as the full-time Director of Public Affairs for the California National Guard since 2006 and has been active in a variety of initiatives to assist military members and their families. He holds a bachelors degree in Political Science and Master’s Degrees in Government and Business Administration.
His military decorations include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal and Combat Action Badge.
