California National Guard Education Assistance Award Program 

 California now offers its National Guard members a state-sponsored educational benefit 

 

The California National Guard Education Assistance Award Program (CNGEAAP) issue financial awards to qualifying members of the California Army or Air National Guard and State Military Reserve.

This State Grant can pay for up to 100% of fees at the Universities of California, California State Universities and California Community Colleges, and eligible California non-public institutions.

 How do I apply?

2011-2012 applications are now closed due to budget constraints.  Applications for the 2012-2013 academic year (July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013) will open April 16, 2012.

IT TAKES THREE

1.  Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

2.  Complete the CNG EAAP Application

3.  Download and print the Statement of Understanding and have it signed by your Commander

 

Now is the Time to Renew!

If you are a current participant of the 2011-2012 CNG EAAP and want to participate in the 2012-2013 academic year (July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013), you need to:

1.  Complete the CNG EAAP Renewal Application

2.  Submit a completed Renewal Statement of Understanding.

Renewal applications will be accepted between January 4 and June 1, 2012.
