The State Budget Branch prepares the annual State Military Department budget in accordance with state directives to include all supporting budget schedules, the Governor's Budget and the Wage and Salary Supplement.

It also develops fiscal data required to prepare the state budget to include: personal services, operating expenses, equipment, and capital outlay.

Coordinates with Fund and Program Managers to ensure they execute their budgets in accordance with the intent of the Legislature, the Governor, and the Department's strategic plan.

Prepares budget information required by the Governor's Office, Department of Finance, and the Legislature to support budget requests.

Prepares and updates the Budget Standard Operating Procedures and conducts a biannual fiscal seminar to train the Department's Fiscal Managers. |
