Serves as the primary Active Army Advisor to the Adjutant General. The Senior Army Advisor also assists the Deputy Adjutant General-Army on the roles and functions of Army issues from an Active Component (AC) perspective. Advises the ARNG leadership team on training, readiness, mobilization and executes responsibilities as prescribed by law or applicable regulations. Represents the AC in ARNG and RC Forums, Serves as the RC Spokesman in AC Forums, and supports the California Army National Guard with authorized AC activities.
Goals:
The goals of the Senior Army Advisor are to be a productive part of the National Guard team and be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) between the active Army and reserve components in order to assist in producing mission-capable Army National Guard units for mobilization, deployment, and employment to their possible designated theater of operations or for Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA).
