Provide information to soldiers and airmen on employment opportunities within the California National Guard and through Troops to Teachers, Helmets to Hardhats, Small Business Administration-Veterans Business Development, and Hire A Vet, web links.

We strive to ensure all California National Guard members and their families have access to the most current and up to date information related to employment within the California National Guard and where to go to receive information or assistance.  The goal is to guide our members and their families to the best resources available.

Taking care of our veterans, our members, and their families, is the highest priority in the California National Guard.

Operation Welcome Home - CALVET CORPS
As part of the Operation Welcome Home initiative, the Employment Development Department (EDD) plans to hire 325 limited-term employees (targeting recently released veterans) beginning January 2010.  Working in coordination with EDD’s veteran representatives, these new CALVET CORPS hires will be trained and deployed throughout the state to help redeploying or discharged veterans learn about the benefits and services available to successfully enter the civilian workforce.  Click here for more information (PDF).
