Mission Statement
We serve California communities and families which entrust students to our care by delivering national level, high quality educational support programs, in partnership with the educational community, within a military/academic-structured environment.
Our Programs
1. California Cadet Corps, Since 1911: A partnership between the California National Guard and local school districts to develop leadership, improve academics, foster school safety, and develop patriotism.
2. Grizzly Youth Academy, Since 1998: A life-altering experience for California's at-risk youth ages 16-18 years old. This 17 1/2 month program includes a 20 week residential phase at Camp San Luis Obispo.

Grizzly Youth Academy was awarded the "Best Overall Program" in the country for 2005!
3. Oakland Military Institute: A college preparatory academy. Students learn self-discipline; a desire to learn in an environment that expands and encourages intellectual growth.
4. STARBASE, Since 1993: Serves grades 4-6 in the Sacramento Area with emphasis on at-risk children. The focus is on science, math, and goal-setting skills.
5. Sunburst Youth Academy: Since 2007 Our mission to intervene in the life of California's at-risk youth ages 16-18 years old and produce a program graduate with the values, skills, education and self-discipline necessary to succeed as an adult.
